How we work
Every job begins with real parts on your material, tested and checked at our Sunnyrock HQ. We match the right fibre laser system to your workflow and ensure your team is confident to run it.
Sample parts come first
Most jobs start with you sending us your actual material, sheet, plate, tube or finished components. We run sample cutting or marking jobs in our Sunnyrock cell, using your files or drawings as supplied.
This step lets you see the true finish, edge quality and marking clarity on your stock, under real-world conditions. We return these trial pieces to you for review before you commit to a system or process.
- Test on your supplied material
- Accurate sample jobs before quoting
- Feedback on cut, mark and edge quality
Choosing the right system for your work
Every workshop has its own mix of materials, batch sizes and space. We look at your main jobs, do you cut thin stainless for catering, thick wear plate for mining, mark parts for traceability, or run a mix?
Based on your needs, we match the power, bed size and automation. For sheet work, CutLine 1500 and PlateGate XL suit most needs, while TubeCut R8 handles tubing and RHS. For marking, we select from Mark Pro 30, BeamDesk Mini, EngraveFab 50, MicroMark Lab or portable options.

Setting up and checking every job
Each machine is set up at your site by our team. We dial in recipes for your main materials, with focus, speed, assist gas and power optimised for each thickness and grade.
First-article checks are standard. Ms Kelebogile Nxumalo uses a loupe and digital calipers at Sunnyrock to measure edge accuracy, hole quality, mark depth and readability. You get a sample report detailing the outcomes, not only a visual once-over.
- Material recipes stored for repeat jobs
- First-article checks with proper inspection
- Sample reports for process assurance
Training and ongoing care
We train your operators on-site or at Sunnyrock, loading jobs, setting focus, changing nozzles, using extraction and staying safe. Only trained, authorised users should run the machine.
Regular care matters: check and clean the protective window and nozzle daily, keep the chiller topped up, and replace filters as needed. We show you what to look for, from fume build-up to condensation and power cuts. Support is always a call or contact form away.
- Hands-on operator training
- Daily checks for optics and extraction
- Support and advice from local specialists
