Sample cell opens at Sunnyrock
FibreLaser SA has opened a dedicated sample cell at the Sunnyrock HQ in Germiston for job-shop reviews, first-article trials and application support across our fibre laser range.
Sample cell available for live reviews
Workshops and fabricators can now book hands-on reviews at our Sunnyrock HQ sample cell. The new facility is set up for practical testing and process development using our own CutLine, SheetNest Pro, Mark Pro 30, BeamDesk Mini, and other fibre laser systems. Our applications team runs first-article trials to help you dial in settings for cutting, marking or engraving, based on your specific parts.
This sample cell is also where we demonstrate fixturing, part handling and extraction options. All work is supervised by trained FibreLaser SA staff, with safety controls in place for open-beam trials.
Focused support for job-shop requirements
South African workshops often face unique material mixes and job-shop deadlines. The sample cell lets you trial your own drawings, profiles or parts before committing to a full system or a production run. Our team assists with material selection, machine settings, gas choices and extraction requirements for your application.
We can advise on everything from first-time stainless cutting to deep engraving, tube notching or asset tagging. Bring your own files or sample stock: we help you find the best approach for your workflow and safety requirements.
Booking and safety considerations
Visits to the Sunnyrock sample cell are by appointment. To arrange a hands-on review, send us a message through our contact form and request a slot with our applications team. We will confirm details and discuss your needs ahead of time.
For live trials in the cell, please follow all safety instructions. Fibre lasers in the cell operate at invisible near-infrared wavelengths, and direct or reflected beams are hazardous. We supply the required certified eyewear and supervise all tests. If you are bringing your own materials, let us know in advance so we can check compatibility and safety data.
