Daily and weekly operator checks to protect the system
Regular operator attention limits downtime and extends the life of your Mark Pro 30. Fibre lasers demand care in handling optics, cooling and airflow. Skipped checks can lead to sudden loss of marking quality or even hardware damage.
Always work through the daily and weekly routine at the start of a shift or before a production run. Clean hands and lint-free wipes are essential around optics and covers, fingerprints and dust on the protective window will scatter the beam, causing weak or inconsistent marks.
- Check the protective window for dust, fingerprints or splatter, and clean or replace if needed
- Inspect the nozzle and lens for debris or signs of wear
- Empty or replace the fume extraction filter if indicated
- Check the extraction hose and fan for leaks or blockages
- Check the chiller fluid level and look for warning lights or leaks
- Ensure all interlocks, guards and the emergency stop work as intended
Scheduled service by our laser technicians
Mark Pro 30 should be serviced by trained FibreLaser SA technicians at the recommended intervals. Scheduled service covers a full optics alignment, deep cleaning, interlock check, cooling system flush and control checks.
A site service visit also includes firmware updates and a safety run-through with your operators. If your site is in a harsh environment such as a dusty yard or coastal city, or you run the system around the clock, let us know: we can adjust intervals to suit real South African conditions.
Consumables and spares to keep on your shelf
Keep basic consumables and a few core spares in stock to avoid production delays. The most common cause of poor marks is a dirty or scratched protective window, which is quick to swap if you have a spare.
We recommend having a set of protective windows, the correct lens for your field size, a spare nozzle, extraction filters, fuses, and chiller coolant. Always use the supplies specified for Mark Pro 30, incorrect parts can cause beam loss or damage the head.
- Protective windows (cover slides)
- Nozzles and lenses for your field
- Extraction filters
- Spare fuses
- Chiller coolant (manufacturer specified)
