Daily and weekly checks for BeamDesk Mini
BeamDesk Mini is reliable if you stick to a regular care routine. Operators should run through these checks before each shift and every week, especially in busy or dusty workshops.
Spotting early signs of wear, damage or dirt on the optics prevents bigger issues, as even a small amount of dust on the protective window or lens can degrade marking quality or burn out a part.
- Inspect the protective window for dust, residue or cracks
- Wipe down the marking area and enclosure
- Check the lens for spots or burns
- Clean extraction filter if fitted
- Check chiller level and top up if needed (if your model has water cooling)
- Check all cables and the emergency stop for secure fit
Scheduled service by our technicians
We recommend a scheduled service every six months or as agreed based on your usage. Our technicians strip and clean the optics, check alignment, test interlocks and inspect the controller hardware at your workshop or at Sunnyrock HQ.
A service visit is a good time to review your marking results, update software where needed and refresh operator training, especially if you have new staff or new job types. Keep your last maintenance record on file for the next visit.
Consumables and spares you should keep handy
A few key consumables and spares on your shelf will save downtime. The protective window (cover slide) is the part most exposed to dirt and accidental scratches, so always keep at least one spare.
Typical wear parts for BeamDesk Mini are easy to swap out. Clean lens tissues, extraction filters and the right cleaning fluids for optics are also worth having on hand.
- Spare protective windows (cover slides)
- Spare extraction filters (if fitted)
- Cleaning fluid and lens tissues
- Extra interlock switches
- Fuses for the controller
What to send us if there is a problem
When something goes wrong, send the job, material and the error shown on the BeamDesk Mini. Use our contact form and include the system type (BeamDesk Mini), your serial number (on the rear label), and a clear description of the fault.
Attach photos of the marking area, machine front and any error messages. Tell us what material you were marking, what settings you changed recently, and any unusual sounds or smells. This helps us advise the next steps or prepare for a service call.
