What to expect at your Clearwater appointment
A session at Clearwater is practical and tailored to your own work. We run live demonstrations of our CutLine sheet cutting system and the Mark Pro 30 marking cell, using your drawings or parts where possible. This gives you a clear sense of how fibre laser cutting and marking will fit your jobs, materials and deadlines.
You will meet with our applications team for a step-by-step review: from part setup and nesting with SheetNest Pro, through to discussing edge quality, marking depth, fume extraction and local safety requirements. What to bring to your demonstration
To get specific answers about your jobs and workshop, we recommend you prepare the following. This lets us run real samples and check site needs on the day.
Bringing the right info helps us check machine fit, safety requirements and workflow for your floor.
- Drawings or DXF files of parts you want to cut or mark
- Sample material (sheet, plate or components in your usual thickness)
- Estimated quantities or expected production volume
- Details of your power supply (single or three-phase, voltage and location)
- Workshop floor space and layout, with photos if available
West Rand workshops and conditions
Roodepoort and the broader West Rand have a mix of fabrication, signage, toolroom and light engineering shops. Many run on three-phase power, but smaller bays may only have single-phase. Dusty conditions are common on the Highveld, so regular filter checks on laser extraction and cooling systems are important.
Most workshops here work with mild steel, stainless and galvanised sheet, which the CutLine handles well. If you cut coated or reflective metals, bring a note on the grades and coatings. We will check fume extraction and gas options for your site.
