Night feed list

The Night Feed List is a shift record for every AutoFeed Cut session running after hours. Use it to catch problems, protect your sheet stock and keep the system safe.

Who needs the night feed list and what it covers

The Night Feed List is for operators and production leads running AutoFeed Cut after hours or with minimal supervision. This sheet helps you document every essential check before, during and after a night run. It is a simple, practical record to keep near the CutLine console or feed bay, especially when multiple shifts work the same machine.

Night runs are higher risk for sheet handling, stock mix-ups and unattended faults. The list ensures that every AutoFeed session starts with clean sheets, correct material, a safe cell and a system ready to run. It gives management a record of any issues overnight.

What is on the list and how to fill it in

Each Night Feed List covers these checks: incoming sheet type and batch, loader rails and grippers, waste bins, assist gas status, chiller and extraction, head and cover window, and system ready check. It includes space to log the programme or nest brief used, the operator’s name, start and end times, and any exceptions.

Before loading sheets, tick each item as you inspect or reset it. Write in the material grade and batch, confirm the assist gas and check extraction. During the run, mark any feeder faults, stock jams or alarms. At shift end, record sheet yield and any scrap.

  • Sheet type and batch

How to use the list on the floor and respond to problems

Print a fresh Night Feed List for each night shift. Keep it at the console or fixed to the loader cell, so it stays visible and gets updated live. If a power cut stops the session, use the sheet to record restart steps and which sheets are part-processed.

Log any exceptions, jams or safety issues as soon as they happen, not at shift end. If you record a recurring fault or suspect bad material, mark it clearly and leave the list for the morning supervisor. Use our contact form to request new printable masters if you change material types or run new nests.
