Live cutting with CutLine systems in Gauteng
During April, our team is on the road in Midrand and Isando, setting up live CutLine sheet cutting demonstrations at several busy job shops. These hands-on sessions focus on real production parts and sample runs, not only textbook examples.
You’ll see what the CutLine 1500 can do with common grades of mild steel, stainless and aluminium, using different assist gases and nesting strategies. Our team covers safe operation, edge quality and the right way to maintain the protective window for consistent results.
Bringing practical advice to local fabrication shops
Every fabrication shop faces unique challenges, from incoming material quality to fume extraction and handling of offcuts. During these sessions, our applications lead Kelebogile Nxumalo and cutting systems lead Marnus Viljoen talk through specific cut profiles, edge conditions and support for post-cut processing.
We also highlight workshop safety under South African law. Remember, a fibre laser’s invisible beam can cause permanent eye damage. Always use the correct optical density eyewear and never rely on CO2 laser glasses for protection.
